The Lánzate association has called a demonstration for the rights of the LGTBI community, which will take place next Saturday in Arrecife under the slogan "Conejero Pride".
The march will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Cabildo and end in the Plaza del Almacén, where the manifesto will be read by the promoting entity.
"There is still a long way to go, our rights have not been given to us but we have had to conquer them by putting our lives and bodies into it,” said the general secretary of Lánzate, Nahum Cabrera.
The call is expected to be attended by "various public officials, as well as entities based on the island of Gran Canaria, such as the EQUAL LGTBI+ Feminist Association, and of an autonomous nature, such as the Canary Islands Social Action Coordinator, among other associations, federations and unions of the island of Lanzarote, in support of the defense of the rights of the LGTBI community."
“This demonstration has the support of colleagues who have decided to move immediately after receiving the call and demonstrates the networking work that we have been doing for years in this entity. We are proud and we will mean it together," concluded Nahum Cabrera.
