Last Friday, May 28, the children of Lanzarote celebrated Canary Islands Day with a pilgrimage. Minors from 3 to 12 years old departed from the hermitage of Nazaret until reaching the local school.
The group was made up of about 300 children who came from all the unitary schools of Lanzarote, with representation from all seven municipalities.
The party continued in the educational center, with a fair of typical products from the islands, an exhibition of native sports, typical dances and a sample of Canarian crafts made by themselves.
