Last Saturday at 8:30 p.m., the Arucas City Symphonic Band offered a masterful concert at the municipal theater of San Bartolomé to an audience that enjoyed a masterful concert.

The director Enrik Rodríguez invited the audience to let their imagination fly and thus take a trip accompanied by the 60 musicians through different countries in Europe and Africa and be able to listen to some of the most representative pieces from countries such as Finland, Ireland, The Congo or South Africa.

Some pieces such as the Indiana Jones soundtrack, El Cumbanchero or the masterful Sound of Rain were also played. At the end of each of these compositions, the tireless public did not stop applauding the musicians, who, once their performance was over, had to do an encore at the request of the public, a request that was reciprocated with a piece entitled, Lullaby for a Seal.

The Arucas City Symphonic Band began its journey in 1981 under the direction of Juan Falcón Santana, offering its first concert at the Heredad de Aguas de Arucas y Firgas on May 1, 1983, becoming a Cultural Association in October 1996. They have in their musical legacy a wide repertoire of compositions that range from classical music, zarzuela, soundtracks, sacred repertoire and light music, etc.

Enrik Rodríguez was very happy for the reception and affection of the audience, among whom was the councilor for festivals Área Mauri Cadavieco.
