The Ajei theater group from San Bartolomé, directed by Marisol Arrocha Corujo, staged the play "Uncontrolled Characters" last Friday at the Democracia Society in Arrecife. A total of eight members participated in the performance, six women and two men, in addition to the director.
The play addressed social problems, the appearances of the bourgeoisie, and the perspective of the less affluent class, such as that of a young woman who came to the city to work as a domestic assistant, leaving her family to begin a new, unknown stage, from her humble origins.
The audience filled the social hall of La Democracia and enjoyed 60 minutes of good theater, in which there was no shortage of laughter. At the end of the play, the audience presented the artists with great applause.
The performance of this play was framed within the VI Cultural Theater Week of San Bartolomé, which culminated this Sunday. This same theatrical play could also be seen at the Municipal Theater of San Bartolomé and at the Encarnación Rodríguez theater days in Haría.
