A group consisting of six students and two professors from the Tourism Degree of Curitiba, Brazil, visited this Monday the University School of Tourism of Lanzarote, as part of a tour of different places in Spain including tourist destinations such as Seville or Córdoba. The visit of this teaching group is part of an International Project on Accessibility for people with mental and psychic disabilities in tourist establishments, which is being carried out by said university in the Brazilian country.
Apart from visiting some establishments and tourist areas, the intention of this academic trip is to share results and knowledge of the research project between the two educational centers, the University of Curitiba and the School of Tourism of Lanzarote. In addition to the island of the Volcanoes, the Brazilian expedition will visit the Spanish cities and tourist destinations of Gran Canaria, Córdoba, Seville, Granada and Madrid.
The visit to the School of Tourism of Lanzarote has included a tour of its facilities and a talk given by the two professors from the University of Curibita in which they have explained not only the research project, but also the study plans, the teaching plan, the final degree projects or the internships carried out by their students. Finally, the tour has included a visit to the facilities of the Tourist Board, where they have been given promotional documentation of the Island.
