The pre-registration period to study the Degree in Tourism at the University School of Tourism of Lanzarote (EUTL) has already opened. This was announced by the Cabildo of Lanzarote regarding this entity, attached to the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) and dependent on the Island Education Area coordinated by Myriam Barros.
Those interested in pre-registering, which is necessary to access the degree, have until July 3rd, and must do so through the following link https://www.ulpgc.es/acceso/preulp. Subsequently, an out-of-term pre-registration will open, from July 4 to September 1, which in this case can be done at https://www.ulpgcparati.es/.
To access the Degree in Tourism, it is requested that interested people have some of these previous studies: all options of Baccalaureate with EBAU/PAU/COU with Selectividad; some higher-level training cycle or Professional Training (FPII); university degree from any Spanish university, foreign studies with homologation from the Ministry of Education of Spain, passed the university entrance exam for people over 25 or 45 years of age or over 40 years of age with work experience.
Students may apply for a scholarship from the following organizations: Ministry of Education, Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands, Island Councils, Collaboration scholarships from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canarias and town councils of the Canary Islands.
Curriculum
The Degree in Tourism from the University School of Tourism of Lanzarote belongs to the branch of Social and Legal Sciences, with a total of 240 ECTS credits, distributed over four courses.
The degree is structured by the following modules: Management and administration of tourism service companies, Accommodation and catering management, Tourism distribution and transport, Foreign languages applied to tourism, Fundamentals and dimension of tourism, Tourism resources and products, Tourism destinations and Professional projection.
People who study the Degree in Tourism at the EUTL will be able to do so in a safe environment with personalized attention, receiving comprehensive training from tourism professionals capable of adapting to the changing circumstances of the context, combining the application of knowledge with practical activities aimed at promoting sustainability.
In addition, they will be able to access Mobility Programs in international universities in the following countries: Germany, Italy, Belgium, Poland, Czech Republic, Portugal, Holland, France, Latin America (Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico), etc.
It should also be noted that this degree has a high level of employability and that students will be trained to manage tourism companies, be responsible for departments and management positions in hotels, work in travel agencies, public administrations, air and sea transport companies or in banking, be in charge of the preparation and execution of activities in the field of leisure and tourist recreation, participate in planning offices for tourism development, teaching, etc.
