Lanzarote fills the agenda of this Holy Week with religious events. The parishioners will be able to approach, from this Friday, March 26, to the parish of San Ginés, in Arrecife, to a community celebration of the Sacrament of Forgiveness, at 8:00 p.m.
On Palm Sunday, at 10:15 a.m., the blessing of Palms will take place in the Plaza de la Iglesia and the procession of the Lord on the little donkey, to then give way to the celebration of the Eucharist.
On Monday and Tuesday, the parish of San Ginés will remain open for those who want to confess, starting at 7:00 p.m., with a subsequent Eucharist and Holy Week reflection.
Already for Holy Wednesday, the Procession of the Encounter will take place with a sermon in the Plazuela, at 8:00 p.m. Before, at 7:00 p.m., the parishioners will also have time to confess and participate in the Eucharist.
On Thursday, from 10:00 a.m., the parish of San Ginés will remain open for confessions. In the afternoon, at 7:30 p.m., the Lord's Supper will be celebrated and at 11:00 p.m. the Holy Hour of Prayer will take place. At midnight, the Via Crucis will go through the streets of Arrecife.
The events of Friday also begin with confessions from 10:00 a.m. In the afternoon, the Passion and Death of the Lord will be celebrated at 7:30 p.m., and later, at 9:00 p.m., the Procession of the Holy Burial. Subsequently, the Procession of the Soledad will take place.
On Saturday at 10:00 p.m. the parishioners can participate in the Solemn Easter Vigil and, on Easter Sunday, different Eucharists will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
