Playa Honda vibrated to the rhythm of music and drums this weekend. Its streets were filled with masquerades and carnival groups who wanted to enjoy the last carnival event in the municipality. The people of Lanzarote danced to the sound of the murgas, as well as the Bentchey batucada and the Nomes13 brass band.
The route began in Santa Elena Square and concluded in the oldest part of the avenue. The El Patio youth association enlivened the journey with giants and big-heads. The stage, located on the avenue, on the seashore, featured the performances of the children's murgas Los Gorfinijos, Chau-Chau, Los Intoxicaditos, Los Retoñitos and Guacimetitos.
In addition, La Afilarmónica Las Revoltosas was also present and a dance took place by a group of children from the El Patio association. Once the performances were over, the burning of the Guachilango proceeded, which was bid farewell among sobs by dozens of widows.
