"Omar Sharif's house" has opened its doors to the public. Since last Saturday you can see all the nooks and crannies of the house where the Egyptian actor supposedly lived. In the LagOmar museum you can visit three different spaces: on the one hand, the museum house, with a photographic serial showing the whole construction process that LagOmar suffered from the 60s to the present day, made in photographs. On the other hand, in the main part in which it pays homage to Jesús Soto, also through photography, on the different works he has carried out, such as the Monument to the Peasant, and various documentation on his achievements and projects. In the third and last part you can find the recreation of the situation of the famous day in which, supposedly, Omar Sharif loses the house in a game of cards.
The initiative to allow the public to enter the Egyptian actor's house was born from the desire of visitors to contemplate these facilities, as it has always aroused much interest. In fact, the house is accessed in small groups and led by a guide who explains in English, German and Spanish the different anecdotes of the place. Visiting the "Omar Sharif's house" is now possible, although with a cost of five euros for non-residents and two euros for residents.
