Christmas is a time to gather with family, dine with our loved ones, and share holidays characterized by food, gifts, and affection, although on such special dates as New Year's Eve, many prefer to have fun away from home.
However, according to a survey conducted on La Voz's Instagram profile, most Lanzarote residents prefer to stay at home rather than go out partying after the twelve chimes.
Specifically, 76% of the people who voted choose the option of not going to any establishment to enjoy a party, but rather stay at home with family. Meanwhile, the remaining 24% who participated in the survey do opt to go out partying.
Spending to show off the best attire
Many of the Lanzarote residents who choose to have a good time away from home decide to buy some clothes to show off their best attire on a night as special as New Year's Eve. This entails an economic expense that, depending on the person, may be higher or lower depending on the store, their economy, and other factors.
Most of the people who participated in another survey state that they will spend less than 50 euros on clothes to welcome 2025. Specifically, 68% aim to spend, at most, this amount.
On the other hand, 19% voted that their intention is to spend between 50 and 100 euros at most. Likewise, to a lesser extent, 13% plan to invest more than 100 euros in their New Year's Eve suit or dress.
One of the most useful tricks when buying clothes to wear this 31st is to take advantage and choose garments that can be used more than just once a year. This way, we can get the most out of elegant and festive clothing despite spending more money than we would like.
There is also the option of renting a suit in establishments that offer this service, a more economical option that will save us some money.
Dining out or at home
On the other hand, there are people who prefer to avoid spending the whole day in the kitchen and opt to dine out this New Year's Eve, but without a doubt, according to the survey conducted by La Voz, 82% of the users who voted prefer to continue celebrating it traditionally by dining at home with family.
In contrast, 18% are betting on dining somewhere else outside the home, whether in a restaurant, in a hotel, or in another type of establishment.
Whatever it may be and however they celebrate it, the important thing is to say goodbye to 2024 and welcome 2025 surrounded by people who love them and give them love and peace because that is exactly what Christmas is about.
