Lanzarote wines from the 2019 vintage have been rated as "very good". Specifically, the references analyzed in the tasting room of the Regulatory Council have obtained a median of 13 points, according to the valuation system of the body itself.

It should be noted that, every year, this assessment is announced at the Vintage Qualification Ceremony held by the Regulatory Council at the Castillo de San José Restaurant. However, in 2020 it could not be carried out as planned due to the health crisis caused by Covid-19.

In this case, for the qualification of the 2019 vintage, the tasting committee was made up of six experts, who assessed a total of 18 wines from the Lanzarote Wines Designation of Origin, from different wineries on the island. Among them were eight dry white wines from Malvasía Volcánica, two semi-dry whites, one semi-sweet white, two rosés and five reds. Once tasted and analyzed, they proceeded to add up and calculate the median, the final result being 13 points. This figure corresponds to the qualification of "very good" according to the valuation system applied by the Regulatory Council.
