The Integrated Vocational Training Center will host Expoenergía Lanzarote, a fair for renewable energies, energy efficiency, and electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles on May 23, which aims to "become the reference fair on the island," according to the Lanzarote Chamber of Commerce.
Expoenergía Lanzarote will feature a wide exhibition of self-consumption systems, as well as a display of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles that can be driven and tested. In addition, an Ecohouse will be set up, where you can see and check all the systems and technologies that can be integrated into a home to make it more efficient and sustainable.
Expoenergía Lanzarote will also integrate an extensive program of informative talks on the different types of energy (photovoltaic, geothermal, solar thermal, wind, offshore wind?) and other "more open" interventions, aimed at the general public, on the savings advantages of these energies in homes and businesses. There will also be two educational workshops, one on the construction of drones with recycled material and another of small planes or wings with polystyrene.
The exhibition will also have a section dedicated to specific technical training required for this type of technology, one focused on the actions of security and emergency bodies in accidents with electric vehicles, which will include an accident simulation; and another technical training aimed at automotive mechanics, so that they know the differences and how to approach the repair of an electric vehicle. Both are aimed at professionals, according to the Chamber of Commerce.
Expoenergía is organized by the Single Window for Renewable Energies, a project of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, "pioneering" in Spain, which is managed by the Chamber of Commerce. This edition also has the collaboration of the Government of the Canary Islands and the active participation of the Integrated Vocational Training Center.
