Lanzarote has added 45 new positive cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the active cases to 435, according to data from the Ministry of Health updated at 2 p.m. this Wednesday.
The figure is the third worst since the beginning of the pandemic, only behind the two peaks recorded last week, when 69 cases were diagnosed on Thursday and 52 on Saturday. Of the active cases, there are 10 hospitalized, one of them in the ICU and nine on the floor.
Health assigns 43 of the new cases to Arrecife, where it counts a total of 407 active cases. For its part, it confirms 10 active cases in Tías, seven in Yaiza and 5 in Teguise, adding a new positive in each of the three municipalities. San Bartolomé and Tinajo remain with three active cases and Haría with none.
The number of accumulated cases since the beginning of the pandemic already amounts to 609 on the island, where discharges remain at 167 and deaths at seven.
