Lanzarote has registered only five new positive cases of coronavirus in the last day, according to data from the Ministry of Health updated at 2:00 p.m. this Wednesday. In addition, in the last 24 hours five more discharges have also been reported on the island, so the number of active cases remains the same as the previous day, with 418.
However, there has also been a new admission to the Molina Orosa Hospital, which already houses 12 patients. Two remain in the Intensive Care Unit and ten on the ward, including the new hospital patient.
As for the number of accumulated cases on the island since the beginning of the pandemic, it already amounts to 976. Of that figure, almost 900 correspond to this second wave that began in the summer, since the previous one closed with only 88 cases diagnosed in Lanzarote. However, a good part has been discharged in recent days, thus reducing the number of active cases.
