La Graciosa also has its own Christmas nativity scene for the December festivities. This creation by Pepín Bermúdez, a retired sailor who has replicated the town of Caleta del Sebo, a recreation that can be visited in the Inocencia Páez Sociocultural Center.
In the Christmases of past years, this resident of the eighth island brought the residents of La Graciosa to the doors of his home to show his particular Nativity scene. This 2023, it has changed location because the size of the installation doubles that of last year: six meters long by two meters wide, approximately.
Different locations and specific details of the town are highlighted in the Nativity scene. The sandy streets with the houses, the church, the health clinic, the municipal office, the school, the square and even the headquarters of the Local Police of Teguise. A Christmas installation with a clear reflection of reality, as can be seen in each of its corners.
The full story and photographs of the Nativity scene can be seen in La Provincia.
