Saborea Lanzarote will celebrate the Fiesta de La Tapa, a popular gathering that will take place next Saturday the 14th, in the Puerto del Carmen slipway. The event will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., will be organized by the Cabildo and the Tías City Council and will be collaborated by the business community of this area of Tías.
Thus, next Saturday tourists and residents are invited to enjoy this enogastronomic festival, which will take place in an enclosure that will host gastronomic exhibitors and recreational, children's and musical activities. The initiative was presented this Monday by the president of the Cabildo, Pedro San Ginés, and the mayor of Tías, José Francisco Hernández.
The Fiesta de la Tapa aims to be "a great showcase of the gastronomic possibilities that, in the form of tapas, exist in Lanzarote." "It can be configured as one more leisure and fun alternative for the tourist who visits us and for the people of Lanzarote themselves, who will find not only the power to taste the culinary preparations of our restaurateurs at the price of one euro, but also multiple activities aimed at the little ones", San Ginés pointed out.
The fairgrounds will host about 20 stands, which will house the tapas proposals of the restaurants El Toro, La Cascada, La Cantina de Don Rafael, La Bamba, La Ola, La Casa Roja, La Marisma, Sal y Pimienta, La Taberna de Nino, La Cofradía de Pescadores and Mardeleva; and 4 wineries from the Lanzarote Designation of Origin. Both the tapa and wine tastings and the fairground attractions for the little ones will cost one euro per drink. The dynamic will be the same as on other occasions: the acquisition of a voucher for five euros at a stand set up for this purpose, with five tickets that will serve as payment for the drinks.
This meeting will close the Saborea Lanzarote Tapas and Wine Enogastronomic Week, which has been held since the 6th and in which 14 restaurants on the island have participated.
Saborea Lanzarote is an enogastrotourism project promoted by the Department of Economic Promotion of the Cabildo, in which, among others, the Regulatory Council of the Lanzarote Wines Designation of Origin participates; the tourism associations, Aetur and Asolan; the Chamber of Commerce and Lanzarote Cocina, in addition to other Cabildo Departments such as Tourism.
