The Cabildo has announced the results of the votes of the spectators of the XIII Lanzarote International Film Festival, who deposited their verdict in the ballot boxes that the organization arranged during the first week of short films at the Teatro Insular de Lanzarote.
The result of the count gives as winners, and preferred by the public, La estrategia de Madame Bretó (Audience Award for Best Documentary Short), Ngutu (Audience Award for Best National Short) and Perfetto (Audience Award for Best International Short). This year, none of the awarded shorts coincide with those chosen by the Official Jury.
The Festival organization highlights the high participation of the spectators of this edition, which in some cases exceeded 80 percent of those attending the screenings. The most participatory day was Thursday, April 11: of the 191 people who attended one of the sessions, a total of 145 cast their vote.
It should be remembered that each ballot delivered to the spectators allowed them to assess, with a score from 1 to 5, the quality of the 76 short films screened throughout the week.
