The afternoon of Sunday the 20th was marked by the steps of the Caminata Marinera, which is celebrated every San Ginés with the aim of paying tribute to the men of the sea, founders of the Port of Arrecife. At five in the afternoon the walkers left, from the Islas Canarias park, headed by the councilor of Fiestas, Encarna Páez, Lolina Curbelo, Luis Morales, the Queen of the Fiestas and Miss Lanzarote 2006, followed by the public that was part of the entourage and that, to the beat of the parranderos airs of "Hijos de La Tierra" and part of the group "Charco San Ginés", toured the surroundings, in a lively atmosphere that the crowd accompanied with refrains and the percussion of their palms.
When they arrived at the church of San Ginés, they entered making the offering to the Saint to the rhythm of some songs of the land, to later continue towards the Charco de San Ginés where more and more people joined, until reaching the vicinity of the House of Fear. There, with everyone gathered, the distribution of food began, among which "enyesque" composed of grilled sardines, jareas, cheese, wine or roscas was distributed. Everyone settled as they could along the banks of the Charco to enjoy a seafaring afternoon, with a soundtrack of music from the land. Between dish and dish and to better digest the food, the first verbeneros chords of the afternoon of the instruments and the voice of the trio "Corazón Latino Show" began to sound.
Alexis, Javi and Diego put the entire audience on their feet to dance to the rhythms of fashion, where there was no shortage of cumbias, pasodobles and the rich merengue. The shore of the Charco and the Cesar Manrique avenue were filled with a multitude of people eager to party, immersed in a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere, where everyone shared from the seat to be able to savor the "enyesque" to the "lozetas" to dance the good rhythms of the group "Corazón Latino Show" who enlivened the Sunday afternoon night. An afternoon of fraternization in such a special setting as the Charco de San Ginés.
