The Socialist Party of Lanzarote deeply regrets the death of Juan Alberto Morales, a historical member of the organization, a businessman in Arrecife and a reference in the economic and social sphere of the island.

Morales was a councilor of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and councilor of the Arrecife City Council, positions from which he worked tirelessly for the development of the island and the well-being of its people. He also chaired the Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises of Lanzarote (Felapyme), promoting the local business fabric with a humanistic and progressive vision.

From the PSOE of Lanzarote we want to remember his unwavering commitment to freedom of thought, fraternity and equality.

María Dolores Corujo, general secretary of the PSOE on the island and deputy in Congress, has highlighted that “Juan Alberto was an exemplary colleague, a socialist with firm principles and a tireless fighter for the advancement of our island. His legacy will remain in our memory and in the hearts of those of us who had the privilege of knowing him.”

“His interest in knowledge, critical thinking and personal development made him a respected and loved figure”, said Alfredo Mendoza, general secretary of the PSOE of Arrecife.

From the socialist family of Lanzarote they have sent their "deepest condolences to his loved ones, friends and colleagues. Rest in peace".

For his part, the mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León (PP), has pointed out that Alberto Morales "was part of a well-known family of commercial entrepreneurs" from Arrecife and has sent his condolences to his wife Quina Mary, "to his children, to all his family, friends and colleagues."
