The Arrecife Gran Hotel was the venue chosen for the presentation of the awards corresponding to the II Pancho Lasso National Photography Contest, organized by Forum 94 with the collaboration of the School of Art. The event was held on Thursday night.
The jury gathered for the occasion, formed by Giancarlo Molinari, Javier Alonso, José Vera and Manuel Perdomo, agreed to award a first prize in the black and white category to Juan Jesús Huelva Esteban. The first prize in the color category went to the work entitled "Diosa Mrina", by Manuel Ríos Tacoronte.
The runner-up in the black and white category was the work "Sahell", by Gabriel Brau Gelabert, while in color the runner-up was the work "Glasgow", by José Joaquín Mayayo.
The jury also presented a special prize for a participant residing in Lanzarote, which went to Anabel Navarro Martínez and her work "Soledad II".
The special mention in the black and white category was for the work "turtle dove in skylight", by Alberto Mosteirín Pérez, while the mention in color was for Héctor Leone with an untitled work.
