The Ministry of Health will soon present the plan for the integration of the staff of the Insular Hospital into the SCS

The Minister of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, José Manuel Baltar, reported this Thursday that "in the coming months he will present the integration plan for the health personnel of the Hospital Insular de Lanzarote in the Canary Health Service (SCS)". These statements were made by Baltar during a meeting he held with the president of the Cabildo on the occasion of his visit to the Health Area of the island.

The Government of the Canary Islands has indicated that the meeting also addressed "the possibility of developing a project that would contemplate in a first phase the expansion of the Insular Hospital". "This would imply the construction of a new module to transfer the hospitalization and, in a second phase, proceed to the remodeling of the existing facilities, which would allow the building to remain operational," they explained from the Canarian Executive.

José Manuel Baltar also reported that the SCS is working on the elaboration of the project for the construction of the bunker that will house the Radiotherapy Unit of the Doctor Molina Orosa Hospital. According to the counselor, at this moment "the project is being elaborated for the bidding of the construction of a building that will house the bunker of the future Radiotherapy Unit; in addition to a storage warehouse on the first floor and the administrative and management offices, which will be located on the second floor and will be connected to the main building of the Molina Orosa Hospital".

During his stay in Lanzarote, the Minister of Health also visited the works of the new local clinic of Tinajo, which, according to the Minister, "are progressing at a good pace".
