San Bartolomé dressed up for the pilgrimage on Saturday in honor of the Patron Saint. The route started at 6:00 p.m., departing from the vicinity of the IES San Bartolomé. The pilgrimage passed through the main streets of the town and concluded in the church square, with a "huge attendance" of pilgrims, who filled the town with music and tradition, according to the City Council. They also made their offerings to the Patron Saint, which will be donated to the Food Bank.
A total of 17 floats participated in the pilgrimage, adding color, atmosphere, and animation to the evening, as well as horses ridden by their owners, several ponies and carriages. The folk groups Guadarfía, La Peña, parrandas Los Gorfines del Puerto, Los Goyre, Los Labradores and "La ilusión de los mayores" also performed, with the collaboration of improvised parrandas and parranderos, who enlivened the journey with their toque rhythm.
Romero Dance and festival
After the pilgrimage, it was time for the traditional Romero Dance, which had "great participation", according to the City Council. The dance was enlivened by the trio "Borrón y Cuenta Nueva".
Those who still wanted more party, continued enjoying the festival, in the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente Park, with the Orquesta Travesía. The public danced until 4:00 in the morning.
