The Google Maps vehicle, which has traveled through Lanzarote in recent days, moved this Thursday for the first time to the island of La Graciosa, according to Councilor Alicia Páez. Google requested authorization from the Teguise City Council to be able to take this car to La Graciosa and was authorized "because it was coming and going, it was not staying on the island."
The car arrived on a cargo ship on Thursday morning and toured all the streets of Caleta de Sebo. "They asked us for maps and they were taking pictures of the town. Then they also went outside the town center", said the mayor, who does not know when these images will be uploaded to the Network.
The visit of the Google car caused "tremendous expectation" among the residents. "Everyone took photos of the vehicle and kept asking what the Google car was doing in La Graciosa. People were surprised," said Alicia Páez. "This, of course, is very good for the island of La Graciosa," she said.
