Luis Pastor returns to Lanzarote for the fourth time to present his latest album "Dúos", in a concert that will bring together the artists who have participated in his work. Work that he has recorded hand in hand with friends and colleagues and that has made possible a duel of poetry, with the seal of a singer-songwriter. After passing through the Galileo hall in Madrid, this Friday night he will perform at the Atlanta Theater in a "meeting of friends", with "many more people than were in the capital". Although, finally Martirio, Pedro Guerra and Chico César will not be able to attend, Luis Pastor announced at the press conference that, at the concert, there would be "more than one surprise".
"Dúos" is the result of the work of the last ten years, which includes the songs performed as a duet on his albums. At the presentation of the concert, the singer-songwriter declared that he had done this work "to extend the life of his previous albums, in a throwaway industry where the album lasts less and less". "I think I have done the most important work of recent times", declared Luis Pastor, as it is an album that has collected songs performed in two voices from his previous works.
For Luis Pastor this concert is not just another part of his work, but an "excursion" that he is going to share with Bebe, Miguel Ríos, Javier Álvarez and many others who have participated in his work. "We are here with the generosity that it implies that others share their voice with you", he said about the great names that have performed his compositions. He also clarified that "this is not a typical album that aims to use the fame of the singers to make one rise". Although, he declared that Bebe's contribution has favored the album because it has reached a new and young audience "who discover an "old" singer-songwriter who stop to listen".
After Lanzarote, he will stop in Galicia, to return to Madrid, where he will begin recording his new work that he intends to finish in August in Portugal, since it is an album that will bring together fourteen compositions on the lyrics of poems by José Saramago. "They have been songs composed in the most natural way, many of them without a guitar, hitting me in the chest. I feel that I have taken the music out of those poems", he added about the creation of his album.
The concert has created such expectation that tickets sold out in a record time of two hours, given the reduced capacity of the Atlántida Theater, for an event of these characteristics. For this reason, a giant screen will be placed at the door of the theater.
