Every Wednesday and Friday of August, the Pueblo Marinero of Costa Teguise will be filled with music with free concerts of different styles. Rhythms such as jazz, soul, reggae, blues or Cuban music will sound strongly in the voices of artists with a long career.
Costa Teguise The World Of Music, which has been presented this Friday, is an initiative developed by the Department of Commerce of the City Council of Teguise. During the presentation, the councilor Lourdes Cabrera stressed that the City Council maintains with this initiative its "commitment to the entrepreneurs of the area, supporting with this type of activities the great work they develop day by day in the Pueblo Marinero".
"Their effort added to these projects that we propose, will make us reach the goal we have set; to make Costa Teguise something more than a tourist destination, the goal is to be excellent", added the mayor, stressing that "this is a space where the cultural mix will be the protagonist, and precisely this characteristic makes this proposal interesting".
The presentation of the festival was also attended by the mayor of the municipality of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, who stressed the importance of this event "which will undoubtedly contribute to the promotion of Costa Teguise. It is important that we all contribute to improve the complementary leisure offer for those who visit us; tourists and residents."
The artist of Cuban origin Yudith Porto, in charge of the organization of this musical project, will be the protagonist of one of the performances. All concerts will take place in the Pueblo Marinero, on Wednesdays and Fridays of this month, between 18:00 to 20:00 hours. The performances will be outdoors and free.
