The number of daily cases diagnosed in Lanzarote has rebounded, with 91 reported this Wednesday compared to 50 the previous day.

This increase in the number of infections coincides with an increase in the number of PCRs performed. This Tuesday, more than 700 tests were performed compared to less than 400 the day before. Also in the previous three days, in which less than 80 positives were reported, the number of PCRs performed was lower, in this case about 600.

As for active cases, they have risen to 1,058, after 43 discharges were also added. In the Molina Orosa Hospital, until this Wednesday morning there were 66 patients admitted, of which 14 were in the ICU.

Lanzarote already accumulates 3,304 cases of coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic and has an accumulated incidence of 360.5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days and 747.3 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last fourteen days.
