Daily cases of Covid-19 have registered a sharp increase in the last day, adding 21 positives in 24 hours, according to the latest data updated at noon this Monday by the Ministry of Health. The figure is the worst since last September 25, when 23 were diagnosed. Since then, very few days had exceeded ten daily cases and never 20. In addition, it contrasts with the data from the previous two days: on Sunday no positive was reported and on Saturday only two.

The new diagnoses raise the accumulated cases in Lanzarote to 1,274 since the beginning of the pandemic. As for the cases that remain active, they have risen from 69 to 81, having also reported nine discharges in the last 24 hours.

Of the cases that are active, 80 are in home isolation and one admitted. It was this weekend when a new person entered the Intensive Care Unit of the Molina Orosa Hospital, which a few days ago had been free of Covid patients.
