Chamber of Spain, the conclave of business decisions

The Chamber of Spain is the meeting body of all the Chambers of Commerce of Spain that represent the entire business fabric of the country. Its governing body is made up of the chambers themselves, the large Spanish companies and the ministerial bodies.

In 2014 with the new Law of Chambers, the format of conformation of the plenary of the Chamber of Spain changed. Since then, the Chamber of Lanzarote had not managed to have representation in said body. "We are presented with a great opportunity to participate in these key decision-making bodies where we can transfer the particularities of our business context and obtain information of interest to our companies, from the small self-employed to the most cutting-edge SME," says José Valle.

In addition to the Ministry of Economy, Finance or Development, among others, companies such as Iberdrola, Telefónica, Mercadona, Meliá, Mapfre, El Corte Inglés or Santander are also present. In this sense, the president of the Lanzarote businessmen adds that "the direct relationship with the ministries that have representation there is undoubtedly a remarkable occasion to pursue and insist on the needs of the island, as is also sharing information with the strategic companies of this country," he concludes.

The Plenary of the Chamber of Commerce of Spain held this Monday in Madrid has unanimously re-elected José Luis Bonet as president of the institution for the next four years.
