The Arrecife City Council presented this Friday the eighteen candidates who are vying for the title of Queen of the San Ginés Festivities and Miss International Lanzarote. The event took place at the San José Castle in Arrecife, with Carmen Nieves as master of ceremonies and with the presence of the Councilor for Festivities, David Duarte, the artistic director of the Gala, Willie Díaz, and the outgoing Miss, Leysi Luz Reyes.
As the Consistory has announced, the gala would include "notable changes" this year, including a fashion show. "It was necessary to give a twist to the gala focused this year more on modeling and that in this way the girls have greater future projection. For this reason, a talent test and a fashion show have been included in the final gala," explained Willie Díaz.
For his part, the Councilor for Festivities, David Duarte, thanked "the predisposition this year of the Real Club Náutico", where the pre-gala will be held this Saturday, and wished the young women "good luck in the contest". In that pre-gala, which will begin at 9:00 p.m., a specialized jury will select Miss Photogenic, Miss Elegance, Miss Congeniality, Miss Pretty Legs, Pretty Body and Pretty Hair.
The event at the Casino Club Náutico will begin with a synchronized swimming exhibition and will include a performance by the Dance Popo ballet, musical performances, parades of the young women in swimsuits and party dresses, and a musical performance by Andrea Luzardo. The final gala will take place on August 13 at the Arrecife Fairgrounds.
This year's candidates are Sonia Pérez, representing Miss Valterra, Aitana López (Miss Note Cosmetic), Laura Suárez (Miss Atracciones Santana), Keneilyn Valderrama (Miss La Vegueta-Tinajo, Cristina Guedes (Queen Ftas de Maneje-Auto escuela Marcos), Carolina Morales (Miss Joyería Melvi-e), Micaela Fernández (Queen of the Carmen Festivities), Sabrina Lezcano (Miss Peluquería The Harmony-Tienda de Ropa Fetiche), Ciara Dóvalo (Miss Playa de Guacimeta), Cristina Barco (Miss Puerto del Carmen-Municipio de Tías), Manuela Déniz (Real Club Naútico), Aitana Pérez (Miss Cellveen Bick), María Gutiérrez (Miss San Bartolomé- Zona Comercial Plya Honda), Alicia Lorenzoni ( Miss C.S.C. Yacomar-Hotel residencia Cardona), Ihssane Raib (Miss Maneje-Perfumería Sam), Evelyn Díaz (Miss Famara), Camila Robaina (Queen of the Regla Festivities-Auto Escuela Jorge) and Escarlet Javier de la Rosa (Miss San Francisco Javier).
