Aculanza urges the Arrecife City Council to study the possible damages of the city's mobile phone antennas

The consumer association Aculanza has made public a statement in which it recalls the concern of the residents of Arrecife for the placement of mobile phone antennas in different points, as well as also request their due study and their withdrawal in case they were harmful.

"We are extremely concerned about this issue, electromagnetic pollution is excessively influencing stress, insomnia, behavioral disorders and other diseases that appear in the Freiburg Declaration, signed by 22 health specialists and endorsed by another 170 doctors", point out from Aculanza, where they still await an official response from the Arrecife City Council, which has not declared anything about it at the moment.

The consumer association also requests the elaboration of a Canary Islands law that regulates this type of telephone installations "so that no city council is tempted to postpone solutions in the face of the alleged legal vacuum", according to statements from the association.

Likewise, Aculanza has recalled the presentation of a multitude of signatures from residents of the Island in the Arrecife City Council, such as the Titerroy Neighborhood Association (1,589 signatures) or those near the Zerolo and Destila schools (more than 2,000), so that the health authorities competent in the matter of public health, according to the Canary Islands Health Planning Law, put the appropriate means for scientific studies to corroborate or not this situation.
