Lanzarote has once again embraced the celebration of Christmas. One of the characteristic elements of these dates are the nativity scenes that can already be seen in many parts of the island.
Thus, the first to open its doors was that of Arrecife. In the form of a winery made of pieces of wood, the Nativity is located in the Plaza de Las Palmas, next to the Church of San Ginés.
Made by about fifteen members of the same family, it has more than 100 figures and traditional elements. Thus, the entrance to the Nativity involves immersing yourself in a different space that with straw and wood transports the visitor to another world. This Nativity can be visited every day until January 6 from nine in the morning until nine at night.
Other places
The municipality of Tinajo also has its particular Nativity that can be visited outdoors. It occupies a large area, so in addition to the manger it has figures of houses and shepherds doing their work around it.
In this way, this Nativity constitutes a magnificent spectacle for the visitor who will take a short tour to be able to focus on the large number of details in the Nativity.
Teguise has its Nativity in the Plaza Camilo José Cela. In this case, it is a Christmas reference that reproduces emblematic buildings of the different payments of Teguise and that becomes one of the main attractions of these dates in the town.
Those who come to the place can enjoy a great show decorated with a multitude of details.
Finally, the nativity scene of Yaiza has constructions similar to the buildings that can be seen today in the municipality.
Thus, they try to give a particular vision to the Nativity. In this case, those who come to this Nativity will also see figures of shepherds as well as the Virgin, Saint Joseph and the Child Jesus in the manger.
