The interruption of the energy supply has paralyzed the production of the desalination plants that supply water to Lanzarote. This has been communicated by Canal Gestión, the company in charge of managing water on the island, through its website.
More than a dozen towns in Lanzarote have had their service interrupted. In the northern area, the towns of Haría, Máguez, Arrieta, Punta Mujeres and Guatiza are without water.
In addition to La Villa de Teguise, Tao, San Bartolomé, Tías, Mácher, Conil, Vereda de Conil, Masdache, Conil and Güime also have no supply.
Canal Gestión has announced that it hopes that the problem can be solved this Thursday afternoon.
In addition to these supply cuts, there is a breakdown registered in the reclaimed water supply system, which prevented supplying the El Monte area this past Wednesday.
