The Playa Honda festivities began this Monday with a soccer tournament, which will be held until this Thursday. After this competition, the bulk of the festivities program will take place, highlighting sports activities such as soccer, tennis, handball, skateboarding, swimming, Canarian wrestling, and horse racing, as well as mixed round and chinchón tournaments and playful workshops for the little ones. Pepe Benavente will also perform.

The most important events will begin on Saturday the 22nd, such as sports activities at 10:00 a.m. on the small beach of Playa Honda. During the day, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the first miniramp skateboarding championship will be held on the Guacimeta esplanade. Subsequently, the V Honda Rock will take place, with performances by Maldito Zurdo, Cadáver Depot, and Blackened.

On Sunday, a swimming race will be held at 9:30 a.m., starting from the small beach, while at 5:00 p.m. there will be inflatables, children's workshops, and a piñata on the Guacimeta esplanade. In this same place, at 8:30 p.m., the grand dance gala will take place, by the Rosa del Valle school.

The festivities program will continue on Monday at 9:00 p.m., with the draw and the beginning of the mixed round tournament. On Tuesday afternoon there will be inflatables and a playroom with snacks for the little ones, and on Wednesday, at 7:00 p.m., a playback by the adults, as well as a belly dance exhibition by the Samira Rif school.

On Thursday the 27th at 7:30 p.m. there will be a dessert and tortilla contest, with performances by Al-Andalus and Oripandó, while on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. there will be a dance in the municipal center for the elderly in Playa Honda. On Friday there will also be a wrestling match on the beach at 8:30 p.m., and at 11:00 p.m., there will be a concert by the Raíces and Pa'l Porrón parrandas, as well as a great nocturnal foam party with DJs Javi Sánchez, Carl V, Borja Maneje, and Juane Ventura, on the Guacimeta esplanade.

The festivities will continue on Saturday at 5:30 p.m., with a performance by the municipal band on Playa Honda Avenue, and at 6:00 p.m., the horse race will take place on the beach. At 12:00 a.m., a popular festival will be held, by Rika Banda and Lanzarote Swing.

The festivities in Playa Honda will end on Sunday with the parade with giants and big-heads, enlivened by the "Nomes13" band, at 11:30 a.m. In addition, there will be another foam party and, subsequently, a performance by Mariachi Reposao and Pepe Benavente.

The Councilor for Festivities of the San Bartolomé City Council, Áurea Mauri, has encouraged all residents to participate in these events and has thanked the collaboration of associations, clubs, security forces, and companies that have collaborated with the preparation of the festivities program.
