A boat with 47 people on board intercepted southeast of Lanzarote

Among the occupants there are 9 women, 3 children and 35 men, all of sub-Saharan origin

The Salvamar Al Nair intercepted a new inflatable boat with 47 people on board about 30 miles southeast of Lanzarote at 7:38 p.m. this Friday, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.

Among the occupants of the boat there are 9 women, 3 children and 35 men, all of sub-Saharan origin. They were transferred to Puerto Naos where they were assisted on land by the Red Cross. Only one transfer was made to the Molina Orosa hospital for different pathologies.

With this, there are ten boats that have been rescued in the last 48 hours, in total 426 people have been assisted on the island. This Friday night several transfers were made to Gran Canaria and Tenerife.
