Boarding Pass to Innovation (2024-1-ES01-KA122-SCH-000234172) began on November 4, 2024 and will last for 18 months. Among the objectives pursued are: implementing new methodologies in the classroom related to the use of ICT, increasing the motivation of students and teachers, improving the academic results of students, improving the school climate, creating a sustainable center and raising awareness among students about the importance of caring for the environment.

This Erasmus+ KA122 project is giving the opportunity to 15 students from IES Las Salinas, in Arrecife (Lanzarote), to get to know other European centers (Croatia, Lithuania and, soon, Italy) with a common goal: to create a more sustainable center based on the observation of good practices in other countries. In addition, the project, financed by the European Union, also contemplates the mobility of teachers from the center through training courses and observation periods in centers in Italy and Croatia.

These activities are allowing these teachers to share experiences with other European colleagues to address common challenges; in this case, the improvement of digital skills and the application of new methodologies in the classroom.

The Internationalization team of IES Las Salinas, states "this is a unique opportunity to transform our center; to be aware of our needs and actions to be carried out in terms of sustainability, digital transformation and methodology. Both students and teachers involved in the project also participate in the actions that are carried out in the reception of international centers. In short, enriching experiences for the entire educational community."

Likewise, the center thanks SEPIE and OPEEC for their support and financing, as well as the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of Lanzarote, Participas Association. Tegoyo Community Garden, Department of the Environment of the Arrecife City Council, Milana Association, César Manrique Foundation and Los Marlines. "Thanks to you we continue to promote learning, sustainability and culture in our community," they point out.
