Some will remember how Lanzarote airport was a garden designed by César Manrique, in which nature and ecology were the protagonists, until the reform of the 90s, which swept away Manrique's concept in the airport that bears his name.

Precisely that convergence between nature and the human being is one of the main reasons why Singapore's Changi airport has been chosen thirteen times as the best airport in the world, also this year.

This airport has forests and waterfalls inside. One of its main attractions is Jewel, a complex of more than 135,000 square meters spread over ten levels and containing indoor gardens, theme parks, suspended bridges, slides between trees and a mirror maze.

It also includes in its facilities the largest indoor waterfall in the world, called Rain Vortex, which plunges into the heart of Jewel surrounded by a lush artificial forest.

In addition, Changi houses more than three hundred shops and restaurants of all kinds, with numerous rest areas and even has a climbing wall for those looking to release tension by doing a little climbing before starting their trip.

Changi is the main airport of the small Asian country and serves between 50 and 60 million passengers a year.
