The volunteer firefighters of Lanzarote have continued working tirelessly in the areas affected by the DANA. After arriving in Valencia, they presented themselves at the advanced command post and from there carried out several actions.
The emergency teams have been in Albal where they evacuated the water that was in two basements using two motor pumps and two electric pumps. They were in this place for three days until they managed to extract the water. In this area, they worked with volunteer personnel from the Civil Protection group of Andalusia, coordinated by firefighters from Valencia.
In addition, they were in Paiporta where they collaborated in the pumping of homes and several underground parking lots of buildings, all coordinated by the firefighters of Valencia.
They have also collaborated in the unloading of food products at an assistance and delivery point, where they delivered 20 bottles of drinking water.
Among other actions, they have been transferring several people, for various reasons, from their homes to other points, as it was impossible for them to reach the bus stops or establishments they had to go to.
