Officers of the X Police Intervention Unit (UIP) and the Local Citizen Security Brigade of the National Police who were patrolling the area of José Antonio Street in Arrecife have arrested two young men this week who were involved in a brawl.
According to a police statement, once alerted by some witnesses and present at the scene, the agents verified that two people were engaged in a fight, so they proceeded to request them to stop their attitude.
Given the refusal of the young men, the police tried to separate them, but both lashed out against the acting officers, who had to arrest them and take them to the Police Station, where they were identified as Gerardo Q.M., native and resident of Arrecife, 23 years old, who has 13 arrests for crimes against property, against traffic safety and drug trafficking; and Nicolás Jonathan R.R., native of Las Palmas and resident of Arrecife, 25 years old, who already had three previous arrests for crimes against property and drug trafficking. The detainees were brought to justice.
