Reckless driving on the Tenesar road

The Traffic Detachment of the Civil Guard of Arrecife proceeded to investigate three men as the perpetrators of an alleged crime against road safety, for reckless driving with risk to road safety, after publishing a video on a social network.

The events took place on February 13, on the so-called Tenesar road, a road that runs between this town and Tinajo. For this, the investigated used a rental vehicle from a well-known company on the island.

The action in question takes place when, while one of the investigated drives the van, another travels on the roof of the vehicle jumping and dancing to later enter inside while it is moving through the rear window.

At the same time, a third person travels on a skateboard attached to the driver's door frame and parallel to the vehicle barely maintaining balance and making dangerous lateral movements from the moving vehicle.

Everything that happened was recorded on video from another vehicle that was traveling behind the van, which was later published on a public profile of a well-known social network. Precisely, due to the impact of said video on the networks, it was how the researchers became aware of said action.

Therefore, the driver was investigated as the alleged perpetrator of a reckless driving crime, as well as the other two individuals as participants, as the conduct followed by them was essential for the creation of the risk that the criminal act includes.

After the completion of the police actions carried out by the Civil Guard agents, the proceedings were delivered to the Arrecife Duty Court, where all related persons, investigated and witnesses were summoned.
