The Civil Guard of the Main Post of Yaiza reported on the 24th the owner of a vehicle that crashed on the 9th at kilometer 20.900 of the La Geria road, for an infraction of the Canary Islands Solid Waste Law for having abandoned it. In addition, the Benemérita verified that the car lacks mandatory civil liability insurance.

The Civil Guard agents filed the complaint after contacting the owner of the vehicle - a resident of the municipality of Arrecife - "on numerous occasions and leaving several messages in his telephone voicemail", for an infraction of article 38 of said law, which punishes the abandonment, dumping or uncontrolled elimination of toxic or dangerous waste on public roads.

This infraction, they indicate from the Benemérita, may carry economic fines of more than 301 euros and has been sent to the body in charge of the corresponding administrative sanctioning file, in this case the Canary Agency for the Protection of the Urban and Natural Environment, as it is a protected ecological area.
