The Civil Guard of the San Bartolomé post carried out on May 29 the investigation of a person with initials M.Y. and Spanish nationality, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of insult against an agent of the authority. This man, according to the Civil Guard, stated to the National Police of Arrecife that previously several guards from that post had not wanted to collect a complaint from him by appearance, "when in reality the opposite happened."
The events began on May 11 at the Civil Guard facilities, when the investigated person appeared to report "a series of insults and threats that his minor son was receiving through an Internet social network application," the body explains.
"After the described complaint was collected and the agents informed them of the subsequent procedures to be carried out, the investigated person left the premises to go to the offices of the National Police of Arrecife, where he supposedly filed a complaint for the same events," the statement adds. In addition, he wanted to report to the Police that the guards of the San Bartolomé post "had not wanted to assist him".
Upon learning of these events, the Civil Guard decides to investigate him for a crime of insult based on article 215 of the Penal Code, "understanding that they represent a detriment to their work," the Civil Guard points out. The investigated person was made available to the duty court of the town of Arrecife.
