A young woman has been rescued from drowning while swimming in Costa Teguise. The events occurred during the morning of this Wednesday around 11:00 a.m. on El Jablillo beach. As you will remember, the island has been on yellow alert for waves until this afternoon.
A rescue carried out by one of the instructors of the Native Diving Lanzarote diving center, who later posted the incident on his Instagram account, along with a video of the state of the sea and the moment of the rescue.
The diving center recalls that imprudence can end in a fatal outcome and that this Wednesday there were "waves of up to two meters", a "rip current" and "red flag" on the beach.
For this Thursday and Friday, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has not activated a yellow warning for coastal phenomena on the island for the moment.
