The Civil Guard and the Local Police of Tías carried out a Covid-19 prevention operation in Puerto del Carmen. This action was carried out on the night of September 19 and ended with 7 administrative complaints, four for non-compliance with prevention measures to deal with the health crisis, one relating to the Citizen Security Law and two others to Law 8/2000 on the rights and freedoms of foreigners.
These actions focused on the town of Puerto del Carmen and began at 11 p.m. in the Avenida de las Playas area, where agents informed the public about Covid 19 protection measures, later moving to the vicinity of the leisure areas where 3 administrative complaints were filed for failing to comply with the mandatory use of masks and another 2 to the Immigration Law 8/2000.
On the other hand, the appropriate checks were carried out to ensure that the entertainment venues respected the closing hours established in the area without detecting any type of irregularity.

Once these actions were completed, the Local Police and the Civil Guard continued with the realization of a verification point for people and vehicles at the exits of the town with the aim of verifying the use of masks, duly complying with this regulation.
The action ended in the Pocillos area where agents detected an administrative infraction of the Citizen Security Law for possession and consumption of drugs and another for improper use of the mask.
