The Investigating Court number 1 of Arrecife has decreed provisional imprisonment without bail for the alleged perpetrator of the Playa Honda shooting. Specifically, he is accused of the crimes of attempted homicide and illegal possession of weapons.

The Civil Guard reported this Tuesday that the alleged perpetrator of the shooting in Playa Honda (San Bartolomé) has exercised his right not to testify, after being arrested this past Monday.

Since January 14, the Civil Guard has been pursuing the trail of the alleged perpetrator of the shooting against a man of Dominican nationality, who suffered serious injuries. According to the Benemérita, a "arduous" investigation was initiated to clarify the facts.

The man received two shots from a firearm. The Civil Guard has managed to identify the perpetrator, as announced this past Monday, who was trying to escape from justice.

After tightening a siege on his environment and his latest movements, they managed to get him to surrender and arrest him.

At the police station, the already detained man has exercised his right not to testify.
