The Civil Guard has already arrested one of the crew members of the light aircraft that landed two weeks ago in Fuerteventura with 400 kilos of cocaine. The arrest took place in Lanzarote, where agents had been searching for days for the people traveling on that plane.
The event took place last Tuesday, March 26, when a light aircraft aroused suspicion when it landed at the airport in Majorera after 9:00 p.m. However, although the aircraft was seized, its registration was pending for the next day. Thus, the occupants were identified but not arrested, being transferred to a hotel in Caleta de Fuste. Later, when the agents went to arrest them, they had left. The investigation was able to determine that they rented a private boat, apparently bound for Lanzarote, where the search began since then.
Finally, as confirmed by investigation sources to La Voz, in the early hours of last Friday to Saturday they managed to arrest one of the two people. In addition, the search for at least one other person continues.
According to the newspaper La Provincia, this same plane had already landed on previous occasions in both Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, between 2007 and 2012, and investigators do not rule out that it was already engaged in drug trafficking at that time.
