Puerto del Carmen has suffered a night of container fires during the early hours of this Tuesday.
The start of the massive burning of containers began after 1:30 a.m. this Tuesday. Once they have been alerted by the CECOES, the Lanzarote volunteer firefighters have moved to the different points together with the Emergency Consortium, the Civil Guard and the Local Police.
The firefighters have had to act in several streets of the town such as Frankfurt, Plutón, Chabusquillo and Los Pocillos streets where they have burned ten containers and two cardboard collection cages.
In total, the burned containers have been six organic waste containers, four glass containers and two cardboard cages, as reported by the Security and Emergency Consortium.
