The firefighters had to go this Saturday to put out a new fire in an abandoned house in Arrecife, located on Coronel Bens street and occupied by homeless people. The event took place at around 4 p.m. and when the firefighters arrived at the scene, there was no one inside the house.

According to reports from the Security and Emergency Consortium, the flames affected two rooms of the house. To put them out, it was necessary to use water and foam.

In addition, the firefighters were also in charge of cutting off the power supply as a precaution, since at one point the flames reached the street.

Fire in Costa Teguise

On the other hand, this same Saturday there has also been another fire in Costa Teguise. In this case, the event took place in an apartment on Chafari street.

When the firefighters arrived at the scene, they found that plant and plastic remains had been burned, although the fire was already extinguished, so their intervention was not necessary.
