A man was moderately injured early this Wednesday morning after his car overturned on Trillo Street in the Argana neighborhood of Arrecife.

Around 00:56 hours, the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert about the accident, and firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium, Local Police, and two SUC ambulances were dispatched to the area.

Upon arrival, the firefighters found that the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was trapped inside the vehicle and proceeded to free him.

The firefighters cut the roof and the front window to gain access to the driver so that the doctor could make an initial assessment and later also removed some seats to be able to extract the injured man.

At the initial time of assistance, the affected person presented moderate multiple contusions and was transferred to the Molina Orosa Hospital.

The firefighters also took care of disconnecting the vehicle's battery and placing it on its four wheels. The Local Police carried out the corresponding report.
