The Local Police of Teguise has once again carried out the removal of electric scooters parked on the sidewalks of different streets of Costa Teguise, seizing a total of 45 scooters that did not comply with current regulations regarding security and citizen coexistence.
According to the City Council, the vehicles, from the company Wind, have been removed from public roads and stored in the municipal depot, in accordance with the law that regulates traffic management.
In this regard, it is pointed out that according to the Regulatory Ordinance number 56 on Security and Citizen Coexistence of Teguise - in force in October 2016 - "any activity not expressly authorized in public spaces and roads that implies an abusive, insistent or aggressive stay or use of these areas or that in general represent actions of pressure or insistence towards citizens, or disturb the freedom of movement of these or obstruct or limit the traffic of vehicles or the realization of any direct or indirect offer or requirement of any good or service when it does not have the mandatory authorizations" is considered a serious infraction.
In relation to infractions, minor, serious and moderate infractions are included, with a maximum financial penalty of 1,500 euros (with a 50% reduction).
Alcohol and driving without a license offenses
On the other hand, in terms of Traffic, the Local Police of Teguise has also proceeded to draw up different reports for crimes against road safety, specifically, two for alcohol offenses and two others for driving a motor vehicle without being in possession of the corresponding driving license, both of which were minors.
