On the afternoon of last Saturday, July 8, agents of the Local Police of Arrecife, in charge of monitoring traffic, detected a driver driving his vehicle at 119 kilometers per hour, on a section of the Vía Medular, which is limited to 40 kilometers per hour.
The driver has been investigated for a crime against Road Safety, for driving exceeding the allowed speed by 60 kilometers.
According to the Local Police, the agents in functions of the Judicial Police, found out that the vehicle belonged to a car rental company without a vehicle driver. Once the documentation was required, the car rental company identified the driver, who resided in a home located in Yaiza.
The Local Police of Yaiza has also collaborated in the case, locating and identifying the driver who has recognized being the driver of the car.
After the relevant police investigations, the involved party has been cited for a quick trial.
